Emerging Industries of Wuppertal (Wachstum-
sindustrie-Verband Wuppertal) began as a
Ruhrgebiet-based chemical manufacturers’ trade
association, which has gradually evolved into
a quasi-religious, insurrectionary commune.
The organization’s cultural wing produc-
es functional musics to accompany corporate
rituals, gymnastic spectaculars and, less
frequently, personal periods of idleness. The
track included herein was developed as a part
of the Systems for Simulating Professional
Music project, whereby best-practice and lessons learned from the petrochemical industry were repurposed and applied to the production
of non-organic, leisure music. Please visit
